A Twitch bot that knows when chat loses it

Connect Twitch once and the VFXFlow bot watches every stream with you. It reads chat in real time through Twitch's official EventSub, notices when messages and hype emotes spike, and drops a stream marker on the moment so VFXFlow knows exactly what to clip.

Early access. Uploading and editing in the browser work today. VFXFlow for OBS, the Twitch bot, channels, the agent connector and posting are rolling out to the waitlist a batch at a time. Join the list.

Setup takes one click

  1. Sign in to VFXFlow and choose “Connect Twitch”.
  2. Approve the permissions on Twitch's own page.
  3. Go live as usual. There's nothing to add to OBS and no command to type in chat.

Each moment gets a score and a short label, such as “chat spam KEKW after the creeper”. The top moments are saved as Twitch stream markers, so you can see them in Twitch's own Video Producer too.

What the bot never does

  • Post, reply or advertise in your chat.
  • Moderate, ban or time anyone out.
  • Change your title, category or stream settings.
  • Record or download your stream video.

VFXFlow only uses Twitch's official API, and only for your own channel. VFXFlow is not affiliated with or endorsed by Twitch.

Where the footage comes from

The bot finds the moments; the video comes from your side. Run VFXFlow for OBS and your recording arrives automatically when you stop streaming. Without it, upload the file yourself or let your AI agent download your VOD from Twitch Video Producer and upload it.

Questions people ask

What does the VFXFlow Twitch bot do?

It watches your stream's chat and status through Twitch's official API. When chat spikes it drops a Twitch stream marker on that moment and tells VFXFlow, which later cuts the moment into clips.

Does the bot need moderator rights?

No. It only reads chat and creates stream markers on your own channel. It never posts in chat, bans, times out or changes your stream settings.

What Twitch permissions does it ask for?

Reading chat, reading your channel's clips and VODs, and creating stream markers. You approve them on Twitch's own consent screen and can disconnect anytime from your Twitch settings or VFXFlow.

Does the bot record my stream?

No. Twitch's API doesn't provide stream video and VFXFlow doesn't capture it. Footage comes from VFXFlow for OBS or a file you upload.

Does it work for small streams?

Yes. Moments are judged against your own normal chat pace, so a jump from 3 to 15 messages a minute on a small stream counts as much as a big stream's jump.

Is the Twitch bot free?

Yes. The bot and editing are free. Only posting costs money, $5 a month per account.

You record. We handle everything else.

Editing is free with no watermark. Posting is $5 a month for each channel you connect.
